Thriftify is the operating system for preloved resale businesses. We build the listing, pricing, cross-listing, inventory, and operations tools that businesses selling secondhand goods on eBay and Shopify use to run at scale. Our AI generates listings from photos in under 30 seconds. Our cross-listing engine maintains inventory truth across multiple channels and marketplaces. Our pricing engine automates category specific markdowns. Our SKU dashboard gives operators live visibility across their supply chain.
Our strategic focus is speed and accuracy. Providing a solution for businesses to scale as quickly as possible, without ever compromising on quality. The customers we serve such as; vintage businesses, consignment stores, charity retail chains, enterprise resellers and wholesalers, need to simultaneously increase listing output and improve search optimisation. We build the infrastructure they need to operate at scale, with the operational specifics (multi region, multi shop, API driven, governance ready) that lowers costs and increases sales.
We don't replace POS systems, accounting software, or marketplace relationships. We integrate with them. The preloved economy is a multi system stack. Thriftify operates as the listing and operations layer.

Rónán has spent over a decade working in the preloved economy, beginning with charity retail operations in Ireland, first registering the business name 'Thriftify' in 2014. He leads commercial strategy, customer relationships, and the company's broader narrative.
We've been helping businesses to sell preloved goods online for a long time. Today, as the resale market booms, and global heating increases, the need to scale the circular economy has never been greater. Thriftify is the Operating System that is taking the used goods economy out of spreadsheets and WhatsApp and turning it into a force for positive change. While our model has changed over the years, our Northstar is fixed; to change how the world shops.
The broader team includes engineers, product managers, customer success operators, and growth team members across multiple geographies. We hire for operational depth in resale, technical excellence, and a passion for preloved.
Twelve years of experience, pivots, learnings, and a return to the original mission. The story of how Thriftify got here.
The name 'Thriftify' was coined by founder Rónán Ó Dálaigh, who began working with one Irish charity to help them build a solution to sell their book donations online. While also working primarily on other projects and in environmental activism. The goal was to make it possible to grow a large online business, despite the challenges of each item being unique.

Rónán began working on Thriftify full time, hired a team, raised investment and built the Thriftify marketplace. A charity retail only solution that launched in Ireland, the UK and Germany with the goal of connecting shoppers directly to charity shops.

Thriftify closed the marketplace and re-doubled all efforts on building out the listing and operations solution. After years of hard-work, we realised we needed to focus on the problem that mattered most. Opening the platform up for all businesses to use and massively expanding the feature set. AI listing, cross-listing, pricing engine, SKU dashboard, every layer of the operational stack a preloved business needs.

For over a decade, we have been testing, learning, adapting and building. Working hand in hand with our customers, today's Thriftify platform powers some of the world's best, biggest (and smallest) preloved businesses. Leveraging our experience, learnings, and yes, our failings; we're focused on listening with curiosity, speaking with honesty, and acting with integrity. All toward a goal of building the world's leading operating system for preloved businesses who are scaling a circular economy.

Our mission is the same today as it was in 2014. To make resale scalable. Our team has over a century of combined experience, which we're leveraging to solve one of the world's most pressing challenges.
